I was challenged to create an exhibition that revolved around Sheffield and the city responds. The aim of the exhibition was to present an issue about Sheffield that could be helped through presenting awareness. We found that within Sheffield, homelessness within the city centre is a recurring issue.

 

Although services are out there to help them, they are still dehumanised constantly due to the opinion others have of homelessness. The dehumanisation of homeless and how they are treated, was an area in which I wanted to bring awareness to. I did this by creating a piece that presented how we as the public ignore homelessness over our own luxury. My exhibition piece was a stand in which the public was asked ‘A penny or your thoughts’  about how homeless people are dehumanised.
